Edinburghβs arts scene has a vibrant new addition, as The Gilded Saloon in Bristo Square announces its first autumn programme. The Old Town venue, operated jointly by Gilded Balloon, Kelburn Arts, and Paradise Palms, is set to host a packed schedule of comedy, theatre, magic, and music.

The cornerstone of the new programme is βThe Comedy Showβ, a new weekly stand-up night. Taking place every Friday at 8 pm, the show will feature a mixed bill of the best comedians from across the UK, alongside local rising stars.
Tickets are Β£10 for the show or Β£18 for a ‘meal and show’ ticket. Upcoming line-ups include:
- 24th October: Chris Forbes, Scott Agnew, Julia Sutherland, Amanda Hursy, Rosie Hess
- 7th November: Stephen Buchanan, Billy Kirkwood, Amelia Bayler, Kathleen Hughes, Michael Welch

Comedy fans can also catch βHot Comedyβ every other Sunday at 7 pm. Hosted by Nicholas Elliot and Eva Peroni, it is a bold, inclusive compilation show featuring queer, POC, disabled, female, and non-binary performers alongside top headliners. Tickets are Β£4 (Β£3 concession), with shows on the 2nd, 16th, and 30th of November.
Beyond the regular comedy nights, The Gilded Saloon is hosting a range of one-off shows. Highlights include βTartan Tabletop: Dungeons and Dragβ¦onsβ (23rd Oct), a charity Halloween special of the sold-out Fringe show, and βTrick or Treatβ (26th Oct), a night of fast-paced, fearless magic for adults.
Later in the month, cult comedy sensation βLost in Translation: Twilightβ (29th Oct) returns for the film’s 20th anniversary. For those looking to get hands-on, βBrick & Sipβ (15th Nov) offers an afternoon of Lego building for adults, while βSixties on a Sundayβ (starting 30th Nov) brings live 60s music to the venue monthly.

The Gilded Saloon is open seven days a week, serving a full menu of pub dishes alongside local beers, wines, and spirits.
