A review of Jess Robinson: Legacy, Fringe 2022

August 11, 2022 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Legacy will make you think if you want. Or, if you prefer, you can sit back, relax, laugh and enjoy the show.

A review of Tim Vine: Breeeep!, Fringe 2022

August 11, 2022 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

A masterful mashup of one-liners, slightly longer jokes and a surprising amount of songs. Tim Vine’s Breeeeep! is a comedy act you can take your teen to without cringing or escape from reality for a while.

A review of Action Figure Archive Volume 2: WTF!?, Fringe 2022

August 11, 2022 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Steve Mclean’s Action Figure Archive Volume 2: WTF!? is the spirit of the free fringe. It’s in a basement, run out of a suitcase, and the audience sits surrounded by upturned chairs while a restaurant readies for dinner.

A review of Mitch Benn: It’s About Time, Fringe 2022

August 9, 2022 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I’m glad I took the chance and booked in. Mitch Benn is a talented performer and songwriter too. It feels to me that this is the true essence of the fringe

I enjoyed myself and left happily confident I’d book again next year to come and see the next evolution of the performance.

My Seven Wonders oozes with Clive Anderson’s customary intelligence and charisma. I might even have to start listening to the podcast now!

Aaaw yis! @gautamsedinburgh goes on the recommended list. Just off the festival beaten track but close enough to visit between shows. This is a starter dish!
A super #giraffeabouttown
Breakfast at @thehavencafe is always a treat and if I put different toppings with my pancakes it counts as exploring the menu. Right?
I bought a summer shirt (therefore ending summer) but I thought this corner of @_yellow_souls_ was equally worthy of finding a new home. Just as strong summer vibes!
Gang, @harmoniumbar's cauliflower steak of is worth fighting through the crowds for!
I enjoyed my trip to @nott_edinburgh and finding out what their Turkish Pizza was like! Delish.
