I use Just Eat a lot. I get home from late, the kitchen is empty, I don’t have a car and it’s raining outside. The ability to pick a nearby takeaway over a huge range of styles and order something for my partner and I is high. It may even be more cost effective for me than buying a big pack of something from the supermarket that then goes off before I can finish it.
Here’s some quick micro reviews of my Just Eat experience in Edinburgh

The Brooklyn Diner & Deli is a new discovery. You get American food which is a great alternative to the usual takeaway, quickly, cheaply and it’s open late. They’ve done well with our custom orders too.
Silver Bowl Thai for its wide range, nice Thai food and its record of serving us many times without problem.
Not our nearest Indian but we reach out to Mint Indian in Portobello because it’s consistantly high quality. It’s also pretty quick.

A bit of a roller coaster is the Chop Chop in Leith. Our Just Eat experiences usually include a phone call from the restaurant; we’ve had issues when the food they had on the takeaway menu wasn’t available for takeaway and a mix up with the delivery.
I suspect this is a personal taste thing. Desi Spice came highly recommended to us. I think I could tell something different had been done to the food but I wasn’t sure it was for the better. Actually, give Desi a try… but if you like your Indian plain and simple I suspect you’ll have mixed feelings.
Just Eat sponsored the video placement but the reviews are my own.
