Edinburgh’s Metalhedz pushing for season 3

March 6, 2016 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Metalhedz is a webseries by Simon Fox which is notable for its pro-LGBT stance. Made on a budget the show follows locals from the Edinburgh metal scene in their eventful social lives. The team are now hoping to raise £3,000 to fund season 3. You can follow their progress here.

Warning: Swearing in the video. What did you expect?

The campaign is running on flexible funding which means any money, whether the target is hit or not, will be handed over to the team. At the time of writing there’s 10 days left to donate.

This is the first crowdfunding campaign that I’ve supported in which “clean up paper towels” are one of the examples of where the money goes. There’s a range of perks available for people who do step forward to donate. Let’s take a look.

A pledge of £5 gets your name in the credits, step up to £15 and you’ll get a goodie bag while going up to £25 is enough for the t-shirt. The pledge levels go all the way up for £200 if you want the full DVD collection and the chance to to hang with the team at the screening party.

Edinburgh gets excited by all sorts of things!
Books 📚 and beer 🍺 Two of my MANY weaknesses together as @argonautbooks at @moonwakebeer #leith this weekend!
Aaaah! Imagine the delicious willpower of @tastybunsbakery being at the @moonwakebeer market this weekend. They are!
A bit of imagination on offer from @luna_edinburgh for the @moonwakebeer event. I'm not too much of a believer but using #tarot to guide your thoughts is an interesting technique.
Imagine how amazing Calton Hill's #GiraffeAboutTown will look in the right light!
Let's keep Edinburgh green!
