Review: John Robertson’s ‘The Dark Room’ is Chaotic, Brutal, Unmissable Entertainment – Fringe 2023

August 10, 2023 by Bronwen Winter Phoenix Leave a Comment

John Robertson’s The Dark Room is an unmissable Fringe institution at this point. Without this show, is it even Fringe? If you’ve never experienced The Dark Room before, so yourself a favour – if you can somehow get hold of a ticket, that is!

August 7, 2023 by Bronwen Winter Phoenix Leave a Comment

My first awareness of Geoff Sobelle’s FOOD was when the image of him at a dinner table covered in spaghetti showed up on my Facebook feed. I thought ‘that looks interesting’. Then, I read it was a ‘dinner party’ with piqued my interest even more.

Burlesque fan Birdy took herself to the dependable Voodoo Rooms for some sure-to-be red hot shows – the first of which being ‘Blues and Burlesque’, which was absolutely wondrous.

‘Eleanor Conway: Talk Dirty to Me’ is relatable, feminist comedy gold – Fringe 2023

August 5, 2023 by Bronwen Winter Phoenix Leave a Comment

Birdy took herself back to the Three Sisters for this Eleanor Conway show that promised to be just the ticket for women who want more from their straight partners – and unlike some heterosexual encounters of the past, she wasn’t left disappointed.
