Tempting: Cherryfox burlesque treats this Valentine’s Day

February 3, 2016 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Cherryfox is an Etsy boutique based in Glasgow that sells pin up inspired and burlesque accessories. Some of the designs featured in the store were composed in Edinburgh.

In the run up to Valentine’s Day (not extending any further) there’s a special discount for the store too. Use the code CASANOVA to activate the deal.

There’s a range of goodies for sale in the store and they’re all appropriate for Valentine’s and not just for women. Let’s take a look at a few favourites;

Vampire Heart Garter

Vampire GarterA handmade garter with a heart charm, favourited by 4 people but with only 1 left in the store at the time of posting. The Vampire Heart Garter is made from satin ribbon with a 7cm approx bow.

Cherryfox will gift wrap on request, ship directly and will discuss custom garter orders.

Lace Masquerade Mask

Lace MaskThis “Casanova red” mask is handmade and decorated with Swarovski crystals, rhinestones and feathers. The mask is 9cm high at the widest point, not counting the feathers and the black elastic strap is adjustable and fastened with crystal beads.

Cherryfox suggests the design is suitable for ladies and gents.

Tartain Hair Clip & Shoe Clips

Tartan Clip ShoesThe set includes one pair of shoe clips and one hair clip (three clips; no shoes). The tartan is Thompson and made in Scotland. Bows are about 7cm across and Cherryfox can gift wrap on request.

There’s a set ready to ship, at the time of posting, and they’re dispatched 2 working days once payment as cleared. It’s always nice to find Etsy stores who are crystal clear about the timings.

Blue Comic Book Fascinator

Blue FascinatorHandmade with comic book / pin up art for the fascinator, an aqua blue bow and black crystal heart this accessory, ideal for weddings, has a 12cm round layered fabric base.

Cherryfox notes that the layered fabric used to make the fascinators means they’re quite sturdy and therefore ideal for travel.

Gents Crystal Necktie

Gents TieProving that not everything dramatic enough to be part of a burlesque costume has to be designed for women is this deep Tanzanite purple Swarovksi cystal stripe tie. That said; I imagine plenty of ladies would wear this.

The tie is about 10cm wide (at the widest point) and about 15cm long. It’s 100% silk with about 100 stones.

Edinburgh gets excited by all sorts of things!
Books 📚 and beer 🍺 Two of my MANY weaknesses together as @argonautbooks at @moonwakebeer #leith this weekend!
Aaaah! Imagine the delicious willpower of @tastybunsbakery being at the @moonwakebeer market this weekend. They are!
A bit of imagination on offer from @luna_edinburgh for the @moonwakebeer event. I'm not too much of a believer but using #tarot to guide your thoughts is an interesting technique.
Imagine how amazing Calton Hill's #GiraffeAboutTown will look in the right light!
Let's keep Edinburgh green!
