Review: Mother Hubbard’s, Fish and Chips at Ocean Terminal

October 21, 2025 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

A practical, clean spot with room for prams, located by the Vue cinema. Sadly, the slow service is a deal-breaker if you’re in a hurry. You’ll find better, faster fish and chips on Bernard Street.

A 30 second tour of Ocean Terminal

May 5, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Ocean Terminal is a three story shopping centre on the dock end of Leith. It is a collection of retailers with restaurants, a gym and a cinema thrown in for good measure. We left Bella Italia safe in the knowledge that […]

Review of Handmade Burger, Ocean Terminal

May 19, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This is a largely positive review of the Handmade Burger restaurant in Ocean Terminal. This is a largely positive review because, after numerous visits to the burger venue, it has been largely positive. That said, there’s a picture at the end of this review that might alarm, but it’s worth reading the notes around that. […]

Review of Zizzi, Ocean Terminal

February 11, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood 2 Comments

The Zizzi in Ocean Terminal, I think, is an important restaurant in the history of the shopping centre. It was the first reason to visit Ocean Terminal if you wanted to have a sit down meal. The other eateries in the shopping centre, before Zizzi arrived, had not quite cracked it and failed to satisfy. […]
