Review: Ella – Taste of Greece on Leith Walk

December 9, 2025 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Atmosphere reigns supreme at Ella – Taste of Greece. It looks like an ancient villa but serves reliable, standard Greek fare. Good for solo diners or groups, but the tight layout isn’t pram-friendly. A convenient “safe bet” rather than a culinary star.

Fava is an authentic Greek restaurant located in the West End of Edinburgh with a wide array of menu choices and something to suit pretty much everyone! Great food, relaxed vibe.

Review: Kafeneion to Steki, Leith

June 7, 2023 by Girdy & Birdy Leave a Comment

Kafeneion to Steki is a great little taverna if you’re looking for authentic Greek food – or just drinks, as the ‘taverna’ style is promoted by owners Joanna and Alexandra – in a relaxed atmosphere.
