Foresters Guild is an excellent retreat after a long walk or a day spent on the beach – or just whenever you’re hungry, really. It has fun wee touches to make it more memorable.

Mimi’s Bakehouse on Market Street offers a great selection of sandwiches, all-day brunch and sweet treats! It’s a great little pick-me-up, and always a pleasure.

Six by Nico is a fabulous dining experience we’d recommend to anyone who calls themselves a ‘foodie’, or just wants to try something a bit special and unique.

A fantastic solo Scottish debut for Lindsey Mendick, it’s fabulously fun and will tickle areas you maybe weren’t expecting. This is an art exhibition not to be missed!

A charming pink and green cafe with a clear plant-based foodie focus. @heyplantbae is one of the surprisingly common jewels on Easter Road and is absolutely worth visiting. https://buff.ly/4a7qnfB
If you don't fancy the crowd intensity of the #christmasmarket or the prices then @iceangels_edin is maybe 10 minutes walk away, about a third cheaper for a third more (well, based on my thorough crêpe testing) and they have a #santa mailbox. There's even Christmas Trees for sale up the road. An alternative evening out.
Somewhere new for #sugarsunday as Girdy visits @marias_kitchen21 for a delicious Italian limoncello bread and butter pudding.
The #christmasmarket at @edinburghpalette is on the third floor and open until 4pm.
A trip to @thenightmarketuk #edinburgh #christmas gig. Time spent with @mattblackjewellery , @kamaveganbakes , @chunkycatsushi and @mad_potters_tea_party , et al.
Girdy wraps St Andrew's Day week with modern Scottish - sipping whisky and chowing down on @one.canon's "chicken pot noodle" pizza!
