Review: Exposure Therapy, Fringe 2025

August 21, 2025 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

A brave and refreshing Fringe experience. Nicole Nadler’s “Exposure Therapy” is an improvised performance where she confronts audience-submitted fears and personal truths. It’s a unique and vulnerable show that feels more like a candid conversation than a stage production.

Whisky 101 is an excellent, value-for-money tasting session that educates and entertains both whisky novices and connoisseurs.

An unmissable Fringe favourite, the Creative Martyrs are a shining beacon of hope in the dark, because no; you’re not alone – and they have songs about it!

An upbeat and entertaining concert. Perfect for anyone who is a big fan of Anime but also enjoyable to people who are not familiar.

Berlin’s Hysterie Theater hits the Fringe with the fantastic Wenches! This dark comedy follows two peasants on an absurd journey into the world of hashtags and podcasts. It’s a hilarious and thought-provoking satire on performative activism and inaction. Go see it!

A Review of Dan Leith: Defiling Gravity, Fringe 2025

August 19, 2025 by Bronwen Winter Phoenix Leave a Comment

A great hour of musical comedy from Dan Leith, with a slight plane theme that works really well downstairs in West Port Oracle. Witty, funny and highly entertaining.

Review: Vittorio Angelone: you can’t Say Nothing any more, Fringe 2025

August 19, 2025 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Vittorio Angelone delivers a brilliant and brave performance, tackling “culture war” topics with nuance and razor-sharp wit. He questions whether comedians have a duty to speak out, using his own unique perspective to craft a show that is both deeply personal and universally relevant.
