Stuck at home? Support Scottish Streamers

March 23, 2020 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This post is about Amazon’s free to watch entertainment site Twitch.

Twitch isn’t just about computer games.

On Twitch, you can watch artists draw or create music, you can sit back and listen to live comedians, watch a DJ work her magic and, of course, find someone playing a game you’re curious about.

Some people make their living off Twitch, others supplement their jobs with tips and bonuses fans can send them over the platform.

The purpose of this post is two-fold. Firstly, if you’re bored and looking for a website to text-chat with other viewers while watching something fun, then this list is worth checking out. Secondly, many of these people would appreciate a tip or two.

Amazon Prime user? You can adopt (subscribe to) one of these Scottish streamers each month, and by doing so, Amazon will pay them a little extra. It costs you nothing extra.

There are two lists too! A priority list of Twitch streamers who are especially worthy of attention comes first (perhaps because they donate to charity or are solely dependant on Twitch to eat) and everyone else comes second.

Suggestions

Please note; we’ve not vetted all these streamers and couldn’t possibly monitor them all. If you’re aware of anyone on this list who expresses bigoted views, then please get in touch, and we’ll remove them.

This list is not exhaustive (Twitch does not make it easy to research) so if you have suggestions for other streamers to add (or change category) then please also get in touch.

A "do the bloomin' washing" chant!
I'm impressed at how square this... mulch(?) still is in the back of the truck. I'd have thought it would at least have succumbed to gravity and spilled forward! I guess @rbgedinburgh gardeners have advanced magicks!
This is what it looks like when @thebonnienook and @gingerbeardbakes team to to make a sunny Thursday even better.
I'm a fan of this modern and inclusive take on #leith 's Perserve motto.
I haven't finished @thebonningtonleith 's menu and there's a new one coming. In fact, the new food is on, the paperwork still needs updated. It is an update so I won't start again, I'll update and carry on!
I don't know what it is, but I like the hat and the dapper attitude of this character chilling at a Granton bus stop.
