Review: Children Are Stinky, Fringe 2025

August 8, 2025 by Guest Reviewer Leave a Comment

The show Children Are Stinky delivers exactly what it promises,  a high-energy, laugh-out-loud and over-the-top celebration of silliness that had both kids and adults in stitches.

Vibe

Pure silliness and nonsense! Performed by a dynamic male and female duo, this show blends acrobatic talent, physical comedy, and cheeky humour in a way that’s completely irresistible to young audiences.

The show

From the moment the performers bounced onto the stage, the atmosphere was electric. The show was packed with handstands over children invited up on stage, daring moves on an acrobatic bar, and impressive juggling that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. There were also lots of fun props used throughout to add colour and surprise. The banter between the performers was full of fast-paced silliness and exaggerated expressions,  everything children adore. It’s clear this pair knows their audience well and plays to them with confidence and ease.

The humour was deliberately childish, absurd, and full of wild energy, which is exactly what made it so effective.

The jokes had kids roaring with laughter and adults smiling just as much. It doesn’t try to be subtle or refined and that’s why it’s so great. It leans into the kind of chaos and nonsense that kids naturally gravitate towards.

My child was completely captivated throughout the entire show, and said he would give it “all the stars” a  glowing review from a tough little critic! As a parent, I appreciated how relatable and genuinely fun it was for young children. It felt like the performers understood the way kids think and what makes them laugh.

Overall

In all, Children Are Stinky is a 5-star experience for families. It’s an explosion of joy, chaos, and mayhem that reminds us how much fun it is to be young, loud, and a little bit ridiculous.
