Organised by Foods and Wines from Spain (ICEX), this two-week event champions the incredible diversity of Spanish cuisine, partnering with top local restaurants to offer exclusive menus and pairings. It’s the perfect excuse to dive into some authentic tapas, paella, and vino without having to set foot on a plane.

Several of our city’s best-loved venues are taking part, each with a unique offer to transport your taste buds to the Mediterranean.

The Edinburgh Line-up: Where to Go

    • Port of Leith Distillery: In its stunning new home by the docks, the distillery is offering a sophisticated experience. Guests can enjoy a curated selection of Spanish wines, accompanied by delicious nibbles and a welcoming glass of vermouth upon arrival. A stylish way to kick off an evening in Leith.
    • Cafe Andaluz: A city institution for a reason, Cafe Andaluz on George Street is serving up the ultimate Spanish comfort food. Diners can enjoy their signature paella, perfectly paired with a refreshing glass of sangria – a classic combination that never disappoints.
    • Cadiz: For a taste of coastal Spain on George Street, look no further than Cadiz. The seafood specialists are highlighting an exquisite oven-baked sole, complemented by a glass of crisp DO RΓas Baixas AlbariΓ±o. A truly elegant pairing.
    • CATA: Head down Leith Walk to CATA for a taste of the Canary Islands. They’ll be serving up papas arrugadas – small, wrinkled new potatoes boiled in salt water – served with the iconic smoky and savoury mojo rojo sauce. It’s a simple, rustic dish packed with flavour.

From the shores of Leith to the heart of the New Town, the Eat Spain Drink Spain campaign offers a fantastic opportunity to explore the rich flavours of Spain while supporting some of our brilliant local restaurants.
