Andrew Doyle and the drunk hecklers at the Edinburgh Fringe

August 28, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Andrew Doyle, called “Britain’s hottest young comedian” by GQ Magazine, had a show called “Whatever it Takes” this year in the Fringe. It was an hour long at The Caves. One night looked pretty rough. He had some drunk hecklers who, after being asked to leave, did not go quietly.

The video above is a professional recording. It was (likely) made by the official film crew for either The Caves, Doyle or a media organisation filming with permission. It’s also been edited for brevity but I don’t think the video is misleading at all.

What do you think? Did he handle the situation well? Just how flustered was that poor woman by the front? Did she help Andrew get back on track at all?

An even better question – do you recognise any of the the drunk crowd?
