A review of The Revel Puck Circus: The Wing Scuffle Spectacular, Fringe 2026

August 17, 2026 by Bronwen Winter Phoenix Leave a Comment

Hailing from East London, the international circus troupe Revel Puck Circus are back for Fringe 2026, and they’re just as fabulous as ever, with plenty of mischief, chaos and flair with The Revel Puck Circus: The Wing Scuffle Spectacular.

Vibe

A contemporary, Gen Z, high-energy family fun circus show with fabulous stunts, humour and absolutely zero pretentiousness. It’s not often you arrive for a circus show and see the performers making and serving fresh candyfloss and popcorn for a paying queue – it already set the vibe that we were in for a fun show.

It just got better from there.

Performance

There’s a decent amount of The Revel Puck Circus: The Wing Scuffle Spectacular – the show gives the impression of clumsiness to such a professional degree that if you didn’t know better, you’d think it was really quite a health and safety hazard! From an act seemingly falling off a ladder with a CLANK, to the swinging noisy chainsaw as the performers run seamlessly out of the way, it’s an absolutely delight to watch.

There’s some high-octane acrobatics, 15ft teeterboard jumps, incredibly skilled aerial feats, trapeze-style fun, giant tyres, balancing stunts, and juggling – plus clown entertainment with seemingly terrifying stuffed lions becoming a theme. The aesthetic may appear a little rough around the edges, but it’s a show filled with heart and isn’t trying to be something it’s not.

Overall, The Revel Puck Circus: The Wing Scuffle Spectacular was a really enjoyable show, containing exactly the kind of stunts you hope to see when you attend a circus performance – and much to my surprise, we were allowed to take photos. In fact, it was encouraged!

Overall

A highly entertaining and enjoyable, unpretentious circus show flawlessly performed – I wouldn’t hesitate to see this group again! Purposefully, expertly chaotic at times, the ensemble cast all vibe so well together, creating a fantastic atmosphere which helps to make it a fun hour for all the family.
