Review: Porto & Fi – a deli bistro in Newhaven

February 22, 2026 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Porto & Fi celebrates 19 years in Newhaven as a family-run success. This bright bistro offers a standout cake counter, hearty Scottish brunch, and a licensed dinner menu featuring Cullen Skink. A must-visit at the end of the Edinburgh tram line.

143 years of transport for Edinburgh

February 24, 2014 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The animation was made by Heehaw Digital for Lothian Buses to celebrate 143 years of life. 1871 sees the trams arrive in Edinburgh; that’s before Waverly Station. Broughton Street had Edinburgh’s first ever traffic lights.
