Radar: Menkind & Prezzybox store opens at Fort Kinnaird (Halloween and Discounts)

September 3, 2024 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Edinburgh Review’s sister site, Geek Native, is all about geeky gifts and merch so we noticed when Menkind opened a store together at Fort Kinnaird.

New Store

Halloween shopping for costumes and spooky decorations will be the first must-visit, and then, sorry to say it, but Christmas shopping is nearly here. There are also discounts to unlock!

Menkind gifts

Menkind tends to sell;

  • Gadgets
  • Beer gifts & Drinking games
  • Drones
  • Gaming tech & Games

Prezzybox gifts

Prezzybox tends to sell;

  • Unusual gifts
  • Crystals and healing gifts
  • Personalised sweets and jewellery
  • Gifts for mum
  • Food gifts

Discounts

Both the Menkind and Prezzybox websites have built-in discount firsts.

If you’re disabled and can prove it because you’ve registered at Purpl, you can get a 10% discount. That’s a process we might look into since I have the doctor’s letter and simply never bothered to register for any support services.

Students can also get 10% off, but Prezzybox uses one scheme, and Menkind uses another in partnership with StudentBeans. We could test that, too, since Birdy is a student.

However, please note that these discounts may only apply to the website.

When is Menkind open?

The Store Finder on Menkind’s website says the shop is open from 9am to 9pm six days a week and until 6pm on Sunday. Those are long retail hours!
