Giveaway: Adventuring Family – A Family Therapy Role Playing Game

July 20, 2025 by Andrew Girdwood 15 Comments

Adventuring Family: A Family Therapy Role Playing Game is a new and innovative tabletop game that merges family fun with therapeutic principles.

Adventuring Family

Released this year, it offers a no-prep adventure system designed for parents and children to enjoy together, welcoming players as young as four.

With inclusivity at its core, the game is designed to be an engaging and beneficial experience for all children, particularly those with ADHD, Asperger’s syndrome, or other social and emotional challenges. It moves beyond traditional dungeon crawls, creating a safe space for players to develop emotional intelligence, enhance their problem-solving skills, and learn the value of teamwork. This aligns with the growing recognition of roleplaying games as effective tools for mental well-being.

The project is backed by professional expertise. It was designed by Nikolaos Kyriakoudis, who has two decades of experience teaching empathy and soft skills, in partnership with Radu Georgian Gosa, a practising clinical pediatric psychologist and psychotherapist.
