Girl’s Night at Games Workshop Edinburgh

November 6, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood 1 Comment

Here’s a good idea. Games Workshop Edinburgh, on the Royal Mile, are reserving this coming Friday (the 9th) as a girls only night.

The goal is to present a slightly different enviorment so more female wargamers or girls considering the hobby feel a little easier about getting involved. It’s been run by Emika who works at the shop and more details are available from staff. There’s a little more insight at their Facebook Page too.

I took my daughter Josie, who’s 8, and she really enjoyed the evening. She’s usually a little overwhelmed by the shop when it’s full of people who know all their stuff already. So, it was a great way to do a bit of painting together, and then play a game. We’re looking forward to the next one.
