I cannot overstate just how impressive the athletics feats in this show are. Not just flexibility, but also strength, coordination and the sheer control each person on stage demonstrates.
These supremely talented athletes are bound to make almost anyone feel unfit by comparison! But overshadowing the feeling of needing to exercise more consistently, is a feeling of pure awe while watching.
No Words, Only Movement
There are no words spoken in this show, it doesn’t need any. Aside from a couple of aerial acts, they solely use their bodies and the versatility demonstrated with said bodies is astonishing.
The number of performers means when a few finish a sequence, others run onto the stage to begin another. This show does not give the audience a chance to get bored. It barely gives them an opportunity to pick their jaws up from the floor!
Primal Energy
Flips and catches are perfectly timed and it is evident these performers know these routines better than the back of their hands and it’s wonderful to behold!
The music adds atmosphere and they don’t always move in time with it but when they do, it feels hypnotising and exudes primal energy. Later in the show I could feel the bass reverberating up through my feet, which I always enjoy.
Astounding Athleticism
They have slightly different costumes, which I think is a nice touch as they’re similar enough to be a visible pack, but they are also individuals and not identical.
I can’t fathom how much practice it must take to be able to put on this performance. Not just individually, but as a team to be synchronised so beautifully. Wolf is an appropriate show name as they absolutely operate as a pack.
They received a rousing standing ovation with cheers of ‘bravo’. I know I clapped vigorously and cheered loudly along with the rest of the audience. Well deserved for such a magnificent performance!
If you’re looking for astounding athletic feats that will take your breath away, this performance is a brilliant choice.
