5 of the so-called best pubs in Edinburgh, do you agree?

Back in 2013 Kaplan International whisked up a survey, talked to students and produced their “What to do In Edinburgh” infographic.

There were some no brainers in the list – Edinburgh Castle being rated as number one tourist attraction, Princes Street coming top for shopping, etc – but I thought it would be fun to see whether you agreed with the top five pub recommendations.

The top 5 pubs in Edinburgh, according to the students are;

  1. Finnegan’s Wake
  2. Frankenstein’s
  3. The Last Drop
  4. Standing Order
  5. Dropkick Murphy’s

Are these Edinburgh’s best pubs?

Or are these just Edinburgh’s best student pubs?

If you’ve disagreed with the students why not share your own top five Edinburgh pubs in the comments below?

This pop-up at @bullfinchedin with @guisados_leith looks like a good thing to know about!
Oh yeah! @donguero.taqueria has a ROBUST selection of hot sauces!
This water run-off pipe clears the building but gives pedestrians a bit of a challenge. Not uncommon in Edinburgh.
Aaand a pleasant way to end #sugarsunday with the help of @iceangels_edin
Red eyes and dark humour! I approve.
